My name is Sean Colahan and I have been shooting as a Video Journalist for 6 years now.  I am a self-motivated, energetic individual that has a passion for his craft.  With every assignment I am given, I bring a creative edge to telling a story through pictures and sound.  When out in the field covering different news stories I determine, considering perspectives gained through my own personal experiences as well as input from my reporter, how to best tell an accurate, effective, fair story through creative shooting and editing.  Besides working with a reporter in the field, I am also skilled at being able to be sent to a story as a solo unit and being able to gather information, interviews, and video footage and be able to relay that information back to the station or to other crews that might join me later to cover the story.  I am able to also field producer stories and have experience writing scripts and assembling self contained packages.

I have had the opportunity to cover a myriad of news events and situations including extensive and in-depth coverage of the 2008 New Hampshire Presidential Primary as well as the rest of the 2008 Presidential Campaigns.  I also have experience interviewing high profile individuals in addition to people that I talk to regarding the stories I tell every day.

Currently I am working as a Video Journalist/Editor for the largest and best regional news station in the country, New England Cable News based in Boston, Massachusetts.
